Man put gun to woman’s face during Bywater robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Police are searching for a man who put a gun to a woman’s face during an armed robbery Thursday night in Bywater.

The NOPD says the 51-year-old woman was approached from behind by a man with a shirt over his face. He then put a gun to her face and demanded money.

The victim gave the man a small amount of cash, and he fled.

The robbery happened about 11:10 p.m. at the intersection of Bartholomew and Royal Street.
