NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – This pothole is a little different.

It’s what we like to call a "future pothole.” It has all the right ingredients of a New Orleans pothole. So hopefully it can be fixed before it creates a real problem.

Our pothole of the day is at Walnut and Chestnut streets.

“We’ve had this for about a month now,” one neighbor says. “This time last summer we had a similar leak that they finally came out and fixed. With all this water leaking, neighbors were worried that it could create a sinkhole. They came out a week or so ago, looked at it for a while, and left. They couldn’t give us a timeline on when it would be fixed.”
