NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – What’s the best neighborhood in New Orleans?
According to Niche, a website that analyzes public data to rank neighborhoods and schools, the following neighborhoods are tops in the Crescent City:
- Lower Garden District
- Marlyville-Fountainbleau
- Irish Channel
- East Riverside
- Garden District
The neighborhoods are graded on several factors, including cost-of-living, public schools, the percentage of the population with at least a bachelor’s degree, real estate, crime, diversity, and health and fitness, among others.
The website seeks to profile every K-12 school, college and neighborhood in the U.S. Some of the numbers crunched by the website come from the U.S. Census, the FBI, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Centers for Disease Control and other sources.
