St. Charles Parish school system releases statement on murder of Destrehan High School senior

DESTREHAN, La. (WGNO) –  The St. Charles Parish school system has released a statement about the murder of 17-year-old Kendall Williams Jr., a Destrehan High School senior.

The statement reads as follows:

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of a Destrehan High School senior who was shot and killed last night. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, the students and staff at Destrehan High School and our community. Support is being provided for students and staff in accordance with the district’s crisis management and emergency response plan. In addition to school counselors who are on site daily, additional support staff members are at the high school to assist students and staff.”
