Convicted Bourbon Street shooter gets 60 years in prison

New Orleans, La. -(WGNO)- Trung Le, the man convicted of shooting and killing student Brittany Thomas and inuring 9 others during a gunfight with another unidentified man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Le was convicted on 1 count of manslaughter and 9 counts of attempted manslaughter.

The search has continued for the other shooter in this case… But as of now, remains unidentified.

Le’s attorney had asked a judge for a new trial on Friday but that motion was denied.
