New Orleans (WGNO)--Former Angola warden Burl Cain has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

The Inspector General, State Police and Department of Corrections spent the last few months investigating reports accusing Cain of violating Department of Corrections policies.

Investigators concluded there were not enough facts to support the allegations.

They did say Cain should have used better judgement and recommended changing the employee handbook to clarify certain policies.

Cain resigned amid the controversy.
