New Orleans (WGNO)--It will cost more to park downtown.
Parking rates have increased to $3 an hour in the CBC, Warehouse District, French Quarter and Marigny.
Parking will also go up everywhere else in the city to $2 an hour.
The city claims the higher rate will keep people from hogging limited parking, but people who work downtown and in the Quarter say it will hit their wallets the hardest.
