TICKFAW, La. (WGNO) -- They are the scariest family not named Adams!  Actually, Davy Plaisance, Shontay Laiche, and the rest of their relatives are lovely people who also know how to throw one heck of a scary haunted house.  It's called the Rise Haunted House, and it's in Tickfaw.

Yes, it's a big of a drive for many people to get there.  But that just adds to the scare factor because you are out in the woods, away from your comfort zone, and the Rise folks are ready to make you scream.

Here are some behind the scenes photos.  Click on the video button above to go inside!

The Rise folks also have a great story that you can read to set the scene before you arrive. Just checkout the house's website here.

You can also try your hand at zombie paintball while you're there!  Prices start at $15 for the zombie paintball and $17 for haunted house admission.  But there are also a variety of package deals and upgrades available.

The house is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight through November 7th.  Also, it's open from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, October 29th.  While you're there, be sure to ask about their new escape rooms!
