NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Fugitive and accused murderer Lorenzo Conner is back in custody. A spokesman for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says an anonymous tip led them to a laundromat on the West Bank (6225 Westbank Expressway) Thursday morning.

Two days ago, 24-year-old Conner escaped a Department of Health and Hospitals van in Mid-City when he was being transported to the Orleans Parish Prison before a court appearance later that day. Court records show he was to be arraigned on charges of stalking and battery of a correctional officer.

Conner has now been turned over to the Louisiana State Police.
