Caught on Camera: Woman robs Decatur Street candy store

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The New Orleans Police Department is looking for a woman they say robbed a Decatur Street candy store and the whole incident was caught on surveillance cameras.

Detectives say that the suspect walked into Laura’s Candies located at 535 Decatur Street around 6:45 p.m. Monday and handed the cashier a note stating she would be shot if she did not give her money.

The cashier subsequently complied and the suspect fled the location.

The suspect was described as a black female in her late 30s to early 40s with a lazy eye. She was wearing a grey, black, and white knit cap, a grey coat with blue jeans, and carrying a black and light blue backpack.
