NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - This Bayou Classic rivalry is legendary! The Superdome turns battlefield with two world class marching bands!

The annual Battle of the Bands featuring Grambling’s Marching Tigers verses Southern’s Human Jukebox

The now infamous Greek step-show is the warm up for thousands of fans from both schools packing one half of the Superdome.

For New Orleans it’s about hosting a band competition experience at the highest level. For Grambling and Southern it's about bragging rights until next season.

Unlike a football game, the scoreboard can't always settle the score.

But like a football game a winner is determined.

And the Grambling Marching Tigers are this years winners.

The Bayou Classic Fan Fest at Champions Square starts at 9 a.m. and is free.

Kick off for the football game is at 1:30.
