Mandeville, La. (WGNO) - Here's a woman that should give you a little courage to take that extra step. Mandeville police officer Becky White ran the Gulf Coast Half Marathon Sunday morning in full uniform, which includes her bullet proof vest.
Officer White says she's running 13.1 miles in 25lbs of gear to raise money for the Louisiana Special Olympics.
Officer White has been running for years and completed Sunday's half marathon in 2 hours and 11 minutes.
