Suspect Wanted by NOPD for Shooting Up a Car with an Assault Rifle in the Ninth Ward

NEW ORLEANS — NOPD detectives are looking for the man who they say shot a vehicle on the 2600 Block of Eads.

The victim tells police that on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at about 5:00 p.m., he and his female companion were traveling thru the Desire Housing Development, when they noticed the above listed suspect along with several other unknown black males inside the above similar vehicle driving toward them. At that point the victims quickly exited the Housing Development attempting to avoid further confrontation however; the suspects followed the victims to the area of the 2600 block of Eads Street.

Once at that location the suspect in the above listed photo leaned out the rear passenger window with an assault rifle and fired several times at the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The vehicle is described as a Silver Honda Civic with tinted windows. The vehicle also has damage to the driver’s side door. The suspect is described as a black male, about 6’0 in height and about 240lbs. The subject may go by the name Kool.
