MANHATTAN, Kan. — It is a heart-stopping video and one you have to see to fully believe.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee was literally launched into the air after veering off the freeway and driving up onto the trailer of an empty vehicle along I-70 in Kansas Tuesday reported WDAF-TV.

The entire thing was caught on camera by a driver who was following not far behind on the roadway.

According to the crash report obtained by WDAF-TV, the driver “for an unknown reason” drove onto the shoulder of the highway, striking an unattended vehicle and then traveled airborne before coming to rest in a ditch.

The driver, identified as Greg A. Harris, 41, was taken to an area hospital, but the extent of his injuries is unknown. WDAF-TV did report that Harris was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
