NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – If you’re sick and tired of all the potholes in New Orleans you’re not alone.

Signs are popping up all over Lakeview that say, “FIX MY STREET. I PAY MY TAXES.” And it’s all thanks to Robert Lupo.

Lupo says Lakeview residents have compared their streets to those in Baghdad and have joked about swimming pools spring up in the middle of their roads.

Lupo’s plan is to use the signs and social media to make a difference.

“Every social event I’ve gone to their greeting isn’t, ‘hello, how are you? It’s, ‘hey, where can I get my sign?’” he said.

If you want to join Lupo’s anti-pothole movement, you can pick up a sign for free at Chateau Cafe in Lakeview between 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday.
