4 Alarm Fire Rips Through Apartment Complex in the Treme Neighborhood

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – More than a dozen people are safe, but homeless, after a four-alarm fire in Treme.

New Orleans Fire officials said the fire ripped through a home that contained several apartments on Esplanade near Derbigny about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

The fire caused the roof and third floor to collapse.  It is currently  unstable.

No injuries were reported.
