NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Going to school pays off!  Jataghi Williams, a senior at Warren Easton Charter High School, won a brand new 2014 Scion XB valued at $25,000.

The “Premier Stay in School” event was held at Scion of New Orleans on Friday morning.

55 high school seniors in the Orleans Parish Public School system had perfect attendance this year; half of those students were from Warren Easton.

Each student received a motivational book and a certificate but only one student won a new car through a lottery system.

Williams plans to attend Southern University this Fall and major in Nursing.
