Monday’s Wheel of Justice report began with the search for a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run case in Algiers.

It happened last Friday morning in the 1400 block of Shirley Drive.  A man was getting into his work truck when a passing car hit him, dragging him nearly 100 feet according to the NOPD.

Neighbors say Shirley Drive is often treated like a race track for some drivers.  They’re not surprised somebody got hurt.

Monday’s report also included a double shooting — that same night — in Central City.

Two teenagers, ages 14 and 15, were shot at around 7:00 pm near the intersection of Brainard and Josephine Street.

At last word, one was in critical condition and the other in stable at an area hospital.
