The death of a transgendered female is now considered a homicide.

Originally the New Orleans Coroner’s Office ruled Brad Hall died of natural causes.  But now, after reviewing the case, the cause of death has been changed to homicide.

Hall’s family members say he died in January from complications after receiving illegal silicone injections.  The injections are sometimes used as a relatively inexpensive, and illegal, cosmetic procedure.

A suspect currently faces a negligent injury charge in the case, but sources tell WGNO News that charge could be upgraded to negligent homicide.
