Martin Fires Course Record 62 at Zurich

Clemson’s Ben Martin has made only 5 of 14 cuts this year on the PGA tour.

HIs chances of make the cut at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans appear to be pretty good. Martin shot a course record, bogey free 62 in the first round at the TPC of Louisiana.

Andrew Svoboda is two shots back after an 8 under 64.

Peter Hanson and Seung-Yul Noh shot 65. Former Tulane and Alabama golfer Michael Thompson is at 66, along with Erik Compton and Chad Collins.
