NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – At one of the biggest festivals in the nation, expect big crowds, we’re talking more than half a million people — that’s half a million very, very hungry people.

“We were hungry when we got here. We came for the food more than the music anyway,” said one attendee.

Sure the music will get you moving to the beat, but when you’re stomachs rumbling — where do you find the best eats?

“I have a GW Fins  fish taco. Best thing out here!”

“I have a meat pie and it’s delicious. Add some hot sauce and it’s even better.”

“I’m eating crawfish bread right now. Gosh. This is one of my favorite things at French Quarter Fest. I’ll give it an A +.”

No matter where you look, there’s good food to be had.

“You want a bite?”

Even a Nutella crepe never tasted so good

“This is awesome. This is really really good.”

Even the food at Tujague’s is a hit!

“It’s fantastic. It’s great. It’s really neat and tender and spicy. The horseradish sauce is spicy. If you have a sinus infection, get this horseradish sauce.”

Even if you don’t come on an empty stomach — good luck!

“I ate before I left but the smell, ya got to eat you know.”

Its good grub that makes you wanna get down!

This year there are 65 vendors at French quarter festival.
