Hey hey! it’s called yé-yé ye music.

From another time, another place.

Yé-yé was a style of pop music coming out of France, Spain and Italy in the early 1960’s.

And there’s only one New Orleans act resurrecting these fun and upbeat tunes.

The name of the band? Les Autres

(Click on video player above to see and hear Les Autres in action).

The mostly European phenomenon usually featured young female singers.

“It’s a very popular music,” Says lead singer Karina Le Guinio, who grew up near Paris. “And everybody likes it. All my friends coming here love it.”
