It’s Fashion Week in New Orleans… a chance for rising stars in the local fashion industry to strut their stuff!  One local designer is getting raves already.  News With A Twist reporter Deepak Saini takes you on the runway.

Some of the hottest designs this season, from a hot new designer!

“I like to design for women who like to be humble, fierce, like to be noticed when they walk into a room, all the eyes will turn,” says Pedram Pasha Taheri.

Pedram Pasha Taheri is an overnight success.  For the first time, his collection was showcased to the world at New York Fashion Week.

“Ever since I got back from New York, I’ve been bombarded with emails and fans.  It’s a little overwhelming.  I’m not used to that.  It’s wonderful to see how many people pay attention to fashion,” says Taheri.

Now Pedram is one of the most anticipated designers at Fashion Week New Orleans.

“This is my hometown, all my friends and colleagues, they’re all going to come see my show,” says Taheri.

Pedram is a rising star in the local fashion scene.  His work is making the pages of local fashion spreads, including the cover of Amelie G Magazine.  Pedram’s inspiration comes from his native Iran.  Although fashion in his home country has a much different look today, he remembers when glamour wasn’t just for the Shah and his Queen.

“The wedding dress was designed by Dior and it was so magnificent back in those days.  I look at those pictures now and they’re so current and so beautiful,” says Taheri.

In his collection, beauty reigns supreme.

“You see this particular collection that I have incorporates golds and silvers and those types of colors that I’ve always been in love with,” says Taheri.

Elegance is what Pedram does best.  It’s style that’s sure to blow you away.

Pedram Pasha Taheri’s collection debuts Friday evening at the Board of Trade.  You can still buy tickets to Fashion Week New Orleans.  Just log onto
