Wave rallies from 13 down, advances in C-USA tournament behind Stark

Brooklyn Hoops Winter FestivalWednesday’s game against North Texas was almost Tulane’s Conference USA finale. But, the Wave rallied from a 13 point second half deficit to prolong its season with a 66-61 win over North Texas in the Conference USA tournament.

Tulane, the 7th seed, got 21 points from Jonathan Stark, including 16 in the second half. The Wave won its 17th game of the season against 15 defeats. Tulane will play second seeded Tulsa at 1 pm New Orleans time Thursday in El Paso, Texas.

“Our poise was fantastic today,” said head coach Ed Conroy. “Jonathan Stark created a lot of offense for us in the second half.”

Stark also dished out 7 assists.

Tulane trailed 15-4 in the first five minutes of the game, and 32-21 at the half.
