While New Orleans parties, the Pelicans continue their post All Star break blues.

The Pelicans lost All Star forward Anthony Davis in the second quarter with a sprained left shoulder, and lost at Dallas 108-89. The Pelicans are now 0-5 post All Star break.

The second quarter was key. Dallas outscored New Orleans 29-16 and Davis left with just over four minutes to play in the quarter after contact under the basket. Head coach Monty Williams said Davis’ injury “could be nothing”.

Davis missed 8  games earlier this season with a non-displaced fracture of his left hand. Monta Ellis had 23 points for Dallas. Eric Gordon scored 19 points for New Orleans.
