Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice report begins with the search for whoever attacked two bicyclists with a baseball bat.  Police released a sketch of one of the two attackers.  The pair is believed to be responsible for two separate attacks last Friday.  In one case, a bicyclist suffered a broken jaw.  In the other, the victim skull was fractured.  Both attacks happened on Esplanade Avenue.

Wednesday’s report also included a mystery death in the St Roch neighborhood.  Police say a body was found inside an abandoned house in the 1700 block of Mandeville Street.  Detectives are waiting for autopsy results before deciding if foul play was involved.

Finally, Jefferson Parish deputies are looking for whoever shot a man in Metairie early Wednesday morning.  The attack happened on Dream Court.  Deputies say a man saw someone digging into the bed of his pickup truck.  When he yelled at the thief, deputies say, the thief fired three shots at him then ran.  One of the shots hit the man in the leg.  Deputies say the injury is not life-threatening.
