Monday’s Wheel of Justice Report Includes Search For Baseball Bat Attackers

Monday’s Wheel of Justice report included the search for two people who attacked a pair of bicyclists early last Friday morning.

According to police, both victims were riding bicycles on Esplanade Avenue.  In both cases, one of the attackers stepped in front of the bicyclist to stop or slow his progress as the other approached and hit the riders with an aluminum baseball bat.

One of the victims, according to police, suffered a concussion and the other, a broken jaw.

Monday’s report also included the search for answers in Jefferson Parish for a murder in Avondale.  Sunday, a woman’s body was found in a ditch along the 11,000 block of Nicolle Boulevard.  The woman is identified as 37-year-old Nicole Messon of Baudin Street in New Orleans.  According to JPSO deputies, she was strangled.
