120 Louisiana State Troopers will help New Orleans police protect the crowd in town for the NBA All-Star Game.

They’ll work in vehicles and on foot.

The extra patrols began Wednesday night and have already netted some arrests on drug and gun charges.

The increased security comes as the NOPD announced the arrest of three people in connection with a series of robberies in the city.  They say the trio could be responsible for seven or more attacks.
