NOFD Hurries To Prevent Morning Fire From Spreading

New Orleans firefighters hurried to prevent a fire in Treme from spreading Friday morning.

They got the call at about 5:00.  They say the double in the 2200 block of Saint Ann Street was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

The fire went to three alarms.  Firefighters hurried to prevent the flames from spreading to another home that was just five feet away.

As of Friday evening, there was no word on a cause for the fire.  There were no injuries reported.
