Monday, Huntington Ingalls shipyard in Avondale sent the Somerset sailing away.

The ship is the last in the Navy’s 911 series.  It is named after the county in Pennsylvania where Flight 93 crashed on September 11, 2001.

With the Navy contract complete, the shipyard will now seek other business to stay open.
