Police credit a dog for stopping a home invasion in Mid-City.  According to police, two men burst into an apartment in the 4500 block of Cleveland Street on Tuesday.  One of them pointed a gun at the victim’s face and shouted, “Give it up!”  At that point, the two began fighting over the gun.  Police say the confrontation came to an end when the victim’s dog attacked the robber involved in the fight.  Police say both robbers then gave up their crime and ran from the home.

Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice report also included the search for a bundled up man who used a gun to steal a bundle from a west bank store.  It happened at about 11:15 the night before.  Jefferson Parish deputies released photos of the robber that were taken from security camera footage.

Also in Wednesday’s report, New Orleans police are looking for whoever opened fire on three people in New Orleans East.  One of the victims died.  At last word, the other two were hospitalized in stable condition.  The attack happened at about 7:30 Tuesday evening in the parking lot of a gas station on Hayne Boulevard near Bullard Avenue.
