Tulane extends Johnson’s contract thru 2020

Tulane has moved quickly to secure its head football coach.

The University added three years to Curtis Johnson’s contract. His deal, according to a news release from the school now extends to 2020.

Tulane increased its win total from 2 to 7 this season. The Wave will play UL-Lafayette in the December 21st New Orleans Bowl. That bowl berth is the first for the Green Wave since 2002.

In the news release Johnson said the extension will “allow us to take the program to new heights.”
