Recruiting angst among LSU fans reached another level Monday when Neville safety Hootie Jones committed to the University of Alabama. The Crimson Tide has done quite well in north Louisiana. But my guess is, the south will be a different story.

LSU appears to be at or near the top of the list for St. Aug’s Leonard Fournette, Karr’s Speedy Noil, Curtis wide receiver Malachi Dupre, and Karr defensive end Gerald Willis.

Signing day is still eight weeks away. Dupre may wait till then, and Fournette has said he will announce on national TV at the Under Armour game in early January.

So, what I am saying is this: Tiger fans need to get their fingers off the recruiting panic button. The Tigers could be in for the big finish.
