Some neighborhoods are better known to go trick or treating on Halloween.

From uptown to Harahan and over to Metairie, trick or treaters flocked to popular Halloween hotspots for the best candy and… well, what else matters?

Louellen Berger’s skeleton themed house at the corner of St Charles Ave and State St. has become a traditional starting point for the diehard uptown tick or treaters.

Past Halloweens Louellen has run out of candy. But not this year, “Want to come in and see?  Two full stacked boxes and then boxes here as well. Maybe cause of the threat of rain they started lining up at 4:00 – 4:30.”

The candy just kept coming at Imperial Woods in in Harahan, a well-known Halloween hot spot.

And as darkness falls… Halloween pandemonium rises at Lakewood South in New Orleans.

WGNO cameras saw lots of super heroes and Duck Dynasty characters out Halloween night.

But according to Google, the most popular costume for kids in 2013 is the Minion from Despicable Me.
