On Sunday,  Archbishop Gregory Aymond blessed and dedicated the new Bishop Perry Center in New Orleans.  The Bishop Perry Center is a new evangelization and outreach ministry of the archdiocese in cooperation with St. Louis Cathedral.  Its mission is to reach out in the spirit of the New Evangelization to the residents, both settled and transient, of The Marigny, Bywater and the French Quarter areas.

The Bishop Perry Center seeks to provide person to person ministry in a welcoming setting that nourishes the heart, mind and body.  A major focus of the center is street ministry and community outreach.  The services of the center include: religious instruction and spiritual counseling, education/GED preparation, recreation, a clothing center, a fitness center, legal aid and medical screenings.
