A man accused of beating his parents to death will not face the possibility of the death penalty, according to the Orleans District Attorney’s Office.

New Orleans police say that at the time of his arrest in 2009, Michael Singreen said he attacked Shirley and Harry Singreen because he was tired of them.

The couple was found dead inside their home on Audubon Blvd.

Michael Singreen’s trial is set to begin on January 7th.
