Girod Jackson pleads guilty to tax fraud

Former state representative Girod Jackson pled guilty to three tax fraud counts in federal court Thursday. Jackson represented the west bank of Jefferson Parish.

He resigned in august after being charged with tax evasion and falsifying tax returns.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced in January and faces three years in prison.
