4-year-old & Grandmother Shot In New Orleans East

Police say a 4-year-old boy was among two shot in New Orleans East this morning.

The NOPD says shots rang out around 10:30am Sunday on Maple Wood Drive.

Police say the 4-year-old boy is now recovering in the hospital from a graze wound to the head. He is listed in stable condition.

His grandmother, a 44-year-old woman, was shot multiple times and died on the scene.

So far no arrests have been made.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in the incident, as well as a motive.

    What kind of animal would train a gun on a little boy and his grandma? What a pathetic act of cowardice. Thankfully at least the boy has survived this.
