Saints prep for Bears, “history” in Chicago not kind to New Orleans

Tackle Zach Strief, a Saint since 2006 is aware.

“We have never beaten them there,” said Strief. “That is a point of emphasis.”

The Saints lost the NFC championship game in Chicago, 39-14 in January of 2007.

The Saints are 4-0 for the first time since 2009. That season New Orleans started 13-0 and won its first Super Bowl title. Quarterback Drew Brees said the Saints can’t take anything for granted. “Don’t eat the cheese means don’t allow everyone to tell you how great you are,” said Brees. “Don’t let them all pat you on the back.”

The Bears lead the NFL in turnovers with 14. Chicago has three defensive touchdowns in 2013.  Chicago is 3-1. The Bears lost at Detroit last Sunday.

Game time is noon Sunday at Soldier Field.
