Monday’s Wheel of Justice report included the search for a man who is accused of stealing from the Family Dollar store in the 2600 block of Canal Street.  According to police, the man is seen wearing a blue shirt on surveillance camera footage.  Police say he tried to steal two backpacks of laundry detergent then got into a scuffle with a security worker at the store.  At one point, police say the man pulled a box cutter on the worker.  But in the end, it was the thief who was cut by the blade.  He ran from the store and remains on the loose.

Also in Monday’s report, police released security camera footage of a man who may have information on a shooting in the 3000 block of Ponce De Leon Street.  Video shows the man walking with a bicycle in the area.  Police do not say he is the shooter, but they do believe he was in the area at the time of the attack and may have seen something.  At last word, the victim remained in the hospital in critical condition.
