LSU opens the season Saturday night in the Cowboys Classic against TCU. Will tailback Jeremy Hill play?

Les Miles was asked repeatedly about Hill at Monday’s regularly scheduled press conference.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on our trip,” said Miles.

A reporter later asked, but will he play? “I will have no further comment,” said Miles. He was clearly angered by the question.

Hill was suspended from the team in the spring after video shows him striking another man outside a Baton Rouge bar. Hill eventually plead guilty to a misdemeanor and was allowed to re-join the team this month.

Hill was LSU’s leading rusher in 2012, rushing for 755 yards. He scored 12 touchdowns.

Miles also said that guard Josh Williford will not play again at LSU. Williford suffered a concussion early in fall camp. Williford suffered a concussion at Florida last season, missing the last seven games.

LSU has won 41 consecutive games against non-conference opponents, a streak that stretches back to 2002.

LSU and TCU kickoff at 8:06 Saturday night at AT&T stadium.
