Originally constructed in 1906, the Civic Theatre remains a hidden gem in between the skyscrapers of downtown New Orleans. For 25 years the historic Civic Theatre has been closed to the public, but new management and a new live entertainment agency are breathing new life into the facility. In September, the theatre reopens as a live entertainment venue. The current managing partners have spent countless hours renovating the interior while minding the ornate detail that makes the venue so unique.

The original brick architecture is proudly on display behind the stage. Remnants of teal and red paint tell a story over a century old. Conversely, new additions include comfortable seating, a modern bar and restroom facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.

The first concert is Empire of the sun, Thursday September 19th.
