Friday, tests conducted by the state allowed two boil water advisories to be lifted.

The first advisory affected a section of Northshore Boulevard and the Camp Villere area in Slidell.  Earlier in the week, a driver hit a fire hydrant causing a drop in water pressure.

The second advisory affected the Mount Hermon community in Washington Parish.  The boil water advisory there followed low or even no water pressure in some areas of the community’s water supply.

Again, both boil water advisories have been lifted and the water cleared for drinking, bathing, and other normal uses.
