Dozens of local business owners are now “all coached-up” to use Facebook to help their business.

Monday morning, Facebook workers hosted what they call the “Facebook Small Business Roadshow” at Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans.

The free seminar showed the group techniques on how the world’s largest social media network can help them start and grow their businesses.

“Facebook plays a really great role in the life of a small business,” explains Facebook trainer Krupa Patel. “Everything from opening that business and building awareness in the community to engaging the people that are in that community to helping grow the fan base in that community, ultimately to bring more customers in through the door.”

According to Facebook, the site gets 7 million views of small business pages in Louisiana per week.
