“Person of Interest” Named in 6 Year Old Harvey Girl’s Disappearance

New details to tonight in the disappearance of 6-year-old Ahlittia North.

Detectives have broadened their search efforts into the Woodmere area  of Harvey an have named a “Person of Interest.”

 20-year-old Matthew Flugence is wanted for a sexual battery involving an 11-year-old girl not far from where North went missing. They worry about what would happen if North came into contact with Flugence.

 Detectives are going door to door handing out fliers with a picture of Flugence and another with an image taken the night Ahlittia North went missing. It shows her in her pink pajama bottoms and grey tan top

 North went missing sometime Friday night. Her mother last saw her asleep in her bed inside their apartment on the 2900 block of Destrahan Ave. by the time the family woke up Saturday morning they say the front door was open and the 6-year-old was gone. Also missing is Ahlittia’s blanket, toothbrush and toothpaste.

Crimestoppers is now offering g a $4,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
