The NOPD is looking for a man and woman who attacked and tried to rob another woman in the French Quarter.  The attack happened on June 12 at about 4:00 in the morning at the corner of Conti and Burgundy streets.  It was captured on video.  Police say the robbers hit the woman with something when she refused to give up her purse.  The woman got away and the robbers left empty handed.

Wednesday’s “Wheel” report also includes a bank robber who apparently wasn’t trying to keep a low profile.  He wore a yellow, reflective work vest into the Gulf Coast Bank in the 200 block of N. Carrollton Avenue.  According to the FBI, the man did not show tellers a weapon but did hand over a note demanding money.  The robbery happened a little after 12:30 in the afternoon.  The FBI also says the robber wore a white shirt, blue jeans, a Detroit Red Wings cap, and had gold upper and lower teeth.

Finally on Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice report, Tangipahoa deputies now  have a name for a suspect who may be responsible for several car burglaries in the East Hammond Pleasant Ridge area.  They say 55-year-old Kenneth Lee Dunkin will be booked with attempted burglary once he’s arrested.  But deputies also say more charges could be on the way.
