The goal is to make traffic headaches at this key transportation corridor a thing of the past.

Landrieu says the project includes 40 million dollars of capital investment will be finished by Labor Day, “It`s going to improve the neighborhood and it`s going to create jobs for the citizens of New Orleans.

Councilmember Susan Guidry says construction will create 200 full and part time jobs making I-10 access to the new Costco easier for consumers, Who are coming in to New Orleans to spend money at this Costco. We know the reputation that Costco has nationally. They are keeping their word. They are hiring our people locally.”

Landrieu and Guidry urge drivers to be patient, as construction delays along Carrollton Avenue from Palm Street to 1-10 are expected.
