LSU’s Glenn suspended for NCAA Regional

Cody GlennLSU says sophomore lefthanded starter Cody Glenn will not be part of the Tigers’ 27 man roster for the NCAA regional that starts Friday at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

Head coach Paul Mainieri said Glenn violated team rules.

In a news release, Mainieri said there is no guarantee that Glenn will part of the team for a possible Super Regional next weekend.

“Cody will not be on the active roster for the regional this weekend,” Mainieri said. “Should we advance to the next round of the NCAA Tournament, Cody’s status will be evaluated next week and a determination will be made concerning his return to the active roster.”

Glenn has won 7, lost 2. His earned run average is 2.41.

Glenn has allowed only one home run and 16 walks in 82 innings pitched.

LSU plays Jackson State at 2 pm.
