Sacred Heart junior Caroline Brinson won her 5th consecutive state singles championship this month. Brinson was 10-0 in prep matches.

Brinson started her streak of 5 titles in a row in the 7th grade.

“Our team was able to capture it for the past 4 out of 5 years,” Brinson said. “The team was very excited, it was truly a team effort because everyone on the team scored at least a point.”

Brinson has committed to play at the University of Georgia, following in the footsteps of her mother, Elizabeth. She wants to win another state title and improve her game.

She’s aiming to get more power on her forehand and to get plenty of bounce on her kick serve: “It is really good for the girls to develop the serve. You see it mostly in guys because they have the strength to do that. So I have been working the strength aspect so I can turn it into a weapon.”
