According to a new study by the University of New Orleans, 79% of the homes in Orleans and St Bernard parish damaged by Hurricane Katrina are either renovated or under renovation.

According to the report, another 14% are now demolished and the rest remain either gutted or untouched since the storm.

UNO began compiling the numbers in 2006.  The latest results stem from surveys taken between October 2012 and April of this year.
